About the position

The PT - Office Clerk position at La Paz County/Parker is designed to provide essential support services to students, staff, faculty, and the public. The role involves assisting with admissions, registrations, and various administrative tasks while ensuring a welcoming environment for all stakeholders. The clerk will also monitor the fitness center and provide event support, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve students by managing admissions, registration, proctoring tests, cashiering, and providing onboarding support.
  • Assist students with navigating learning management systems and connecting to remote support services.
  • Process new and updated information in the designated computer database system.
  • Provide general college information to staff, students, and the public via phone, online, and in person.
  • Answer phones, take detailed messages, and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
  • Support events by directing patrons, answering questions, and ensuring proper use of equipment.
  • Monitor the fitness center, log usage, and ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies and injuries within the scope of training and complete necessary reports.
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned and secured at the end of the shift.
  • Participate in work-related training and support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Computer literate and able to navigate online platforms

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Arizona Western College
  • Three years of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • One year of data entry experience
