About the position

As a Retail Ambassador at our Valley Fair location in Santa Clara, CA, you will play a crucial role in embodying our brand values and delivering exceptional customer service. Our retail environment is not just about selling products; it's about creating memorable experiences for our customers. You will be the face of Rothy's, engaging with customers in a way that reflects our commitment to quality and sustainability. Your role will involve not only assisting customers with their purchases but also educating them about our innovative products made from recycled materials, including single-use plastic bottles and ocean-bound marine plastic. In this position, you will work closely with the Retail Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. You will develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and processes, allowing you to provide expert advice and support to customers. Your responsibilities will include managing customer interactions across various platforms, from in-store to online, ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the Rothy's brand ethos. You will also be instrumental in gathering customer feedback and identifying areas for improvement, helping us to continuously enhance the shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about our brand but also possesses the skills to foster connections with our community. Your ability to create loyalty among customers will be key to driving sales and promoting our mission of sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Provide an unparalleled customer experience for every Rothy's customer.
  • Own all day-to-day customer interactions in our physical store and across all touch points of the brand, including in-person, over the phone, and online.
  • Support Retail Manager and Assistant Manager in all operational duties.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level understanding of our products and processes, including our tools and systems.
  • Elevate customer feedback and identify and escalate opportunities for improvement.
  • Create loyalty by connecting customers with our brand and our community.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail or customer-oriented experience preferred.
  • Excellent people skills; approachable, engaging, and friendly.
  • Fastidious attention to detail and enthusiasm to maintain brand aesthetic in a physical space.
  • Ability to foster connections with customers both in-store and within the community.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, minimum 16 hours a week.
  • Ability to work on your feet up to 8 hours a day in a busy store environment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
