About the position

The retail sales clerk at Bo's Smoke Shop is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, managing transactions, and maintaining the store's merchandise and cleanliness. This part-time role requires strong customer service skills and basic math abilities to ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.
• Obtain merchandise requested by customers or receive selected merchandise.
• Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customers to determine the bill.
• Accept payment and make change for customers.
• Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
• Remove and record the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift.
• Calculate sales discounts to determine price.
• Keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock, and order merchandise.
• Keep the store clean and orderly.

Requirements
