About the position
The Teaching Assistant position at Smeal College of Business involves supporting the instructor, Prof. Paul Shrivastava, for the MBA course on Strategic Management (BA571). The role is designed to assist in various aspects of course management from March 17 to April 29, 2025, requiring close collaboration with the instructor and active participation in class activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the instructor on a regular basis to review daily activities and expectations for class/students
- Be present during all or a portion of each class
- Keep attendance and communicate with students via email and Canvas
- Be familiar with readings and assignments and be prepared to help with questions
- Act as liaison between students and instructor
- Assist with compiling grades
- Assist administrative coordinator with various duties related to setting up each course.
Requirements
- Experience in research and podcasting
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and faculty
- Familiarity with course management tools like Canvas
