About the position
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position involves providing support to physical therapists in delivering patient care, assisting with rehabilitation exercises, and ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment. This role is crucial in helping patients recover from injuries and improve their physical capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
- Document patient care and progress accurately.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
