This opportunity entails planning, developing, and leading public involvement and communications strategies and programs for clients to facilitate communication and acceptance of projects and initiatives. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations and oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with client brand guidelines and quality standards. This includes producing fact sheets, presentations, press releases, and reports. You will implement public involvement, communications, and outreach strategies and programs for clients to facilitate communication and acceptance of projects and initiatives while monitoring their success. Your responsibilities will also include developing content to provide consistent, targeted, and impactful messages, directing the development of speeches, presentation materials, correspondence, and digital media for client review. Engaging with clients to develop, recommend, and determine appropriate communications vehicles to disseminate project or program information with stakeholders is a key part of this position. You will identify stakeholder perceptions of initiatives and services, making recommendations necessary to improve perceptions, build support, and advance project or program goals. Additionally, you will define and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to indicate a campaign's level of effectiveness, plan and coordinate community meetings, and oversee compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality program production and contribute ideas for new initiatives through research. As a leader, you will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, development, and retention of staff, including performance and compensation reviews. You will also manage contracts with sub-consultants for public/community relations, graphic design, and other outside work when needed. This position may involve other duties as assigned.
