About the position

The Public Health Program Supervisor will oversee a team of five, including Disease Surveillance Specialists and Patient Representatives, ensuring effective program implementation and smooth operations at the clinic. This role involves managing billing processes, supervising staff, and collaborating with community organizations to promote public health initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of five, including three Disease Surveillance Specialists and two Patient Representatives.
  • Ensure the front desk operates smoothly and billing information is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage the timely processing of billing and entry of eSHARES.
  • Conduct planning, development, and evaluation of assigned public health programs.
  • Perform grant writing and manage grant budgets.
  • Collaborate with community-based organizations to promote public health programs.
  • Provide educational presentations and community awareness initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in public health or human services programming, with one year in a supervisory role.
  • Master's degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience working with immigrant or refugee communities is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading or supervising a team in a public health setting.
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites as part of regular job duties.
