About the position

The Public Health Project Coordinator at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is responsible for coordinating and implementing national projects aimed at improving public health, particularly in the areas of Women's Health, Health Equity, and Maternal and Child Health. This role requires collaboration within a team-based environment and involves national travel, as well as the ability to manage complex tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement national work for Public Health professionals.
  • Manage projects related to Women's Health, Health Equity, and Maternal and Child Health.
  • Work collaboratively within a team-based environment.
  • Provide peer leadership to ensure quality completion and timely delivery of organizational products and services.
  • Develop and sustain cooperative relationships with representatives of national organizations and funding sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3 years of related experience in project coordination/management.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of public health practice principles, particularly in maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, and infant mortality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Suite Premium.
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and evaluate program goals and objectives.
