About the position
The Public Health Treatment Program Administrator will oversee and manage programs related to health workforce development and education within the Delaware Health Care Commission. This role involves providing program management and administrative support, developing and implementing health initiatives, and coordinating public and private health services to meet community needs. The administrator will also supervise staff, manage budgets, and evaluate existing programs to ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develops, manages, and directs operations of statewide health program(s).
- Supervises staff and identifies needs for resources and personnel.
- Conducts fiscal monitoring and recommends hiring and firing.
- Plans, develops, and implements new proposals, policies, projects, and activities.
- Coordinates public and private health services to reduce duplication and strengthen existing services.
- Evaluates existing programs and designs surveys to determine unmet health needs.
- Analyzes survey findings and makes recommendations based on data.
- Develops program strategies and protocols in collaboration with health care providers.
- Assists in developing proposals for contractual services and grants.
- Trains and supervises program staff on administrative and technical procedures.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in health or human services work.
- Six months of experience in health or human services program administration.
- Six months of experience in developing policies and procedures.
- Six months of experience in staff supervision.
- Knowledge of budget management and control.
