About the position

The Public Policy Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the coordination and completion of public policy projects and programs at Amazon. This role involves setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress while preparing reports for upper management. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in program management to handle complex and sensitive matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake of concerns about public policy
  • Categorize and assign issues to the appropriate team
  • Work closely with team members to gather inputs for updates to senior business leaders
  • Coordinate the consolidation of input from the team for reporting to senior business partners
  • Balance collaborative and independent work with public policy teams and business partners
  • Handle calls from elected officials regarding Amazon's public policy experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management
  • Strong writing skills
  • Program Manager experience dealing with complex and sensitive matters
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
