About the position

The Public Relations Account Director at Rubenstein Public Relations is a senior-level role focused on managing client accounts within the real estate sector. The position requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement PR programs, ensuring high-quality service and content delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, particularly in real estate, and will be responsible for overseeing account operations, mentoring junior staff, and driving new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans/programs for all assigned clients and oversee the implementation of all plans/programs by team members ensuring the highest quality and client service
• Oversee the day to day operations of all accounts with responsibility for deadlines and budget adherence
• Produce high quality content across all forms of media
• Cultivate relationships with existing media contacts and continually source new contacts
• Pitch and place coverage for clients in top tier publications
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior level staff supervising quality and performance and ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
• Actively participate in new business efforts and seek opportunities to grow assigned accounts and source new opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, business communications, or related field
• 6+ years at a New York PR or marketing agency ideally working in real estate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Client facing with the ability to persuade and influence
• Proactive with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines
• Established media contacts
