We are currently seeking a Public Relations Account Director to join our team, a role that offers the opportunity to lead and innovate within our agency. The Account Director will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams, developing high-level strategies for our clients, and ensuring the successful execution of media strategies. This position requires a visionary leader with at least 7 years of experience in public relations, particularly in managing teams and delighting clients. The Account Director will also play a crucial role in new business development and operational leadership, serving as a mentor and guide for account teams in client management, quality assurance, and strategic guidance. In this role, you will be expected to maintain strong relationships with media and influencers, engage in social media strategies, and measure the ROI of communications activities. You will deliver exemplary client service, develop strategic communications plans, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing and editing various PR materials, managing account financials, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

  • Lead 4 to 5 teams in developing high-level strategies for clients.
  • Oversee the execution of media strategies and ensure team success.
  • Engage in new business development and operational leadership.
  • Serve as a mentor and manager for account teams, providing strategic guidance and quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business and industry needs.
  • Identify key messages and audiences, and develop strategic communications plans accordingly.
  • Deliver projects and campaigns on time and on budget, managing account financials effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding the status of deliverables and budgets.
  • Participate in the execution of programs, including writing, media relations, and crisis work.
  • Maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards coworkers and clients.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in a PR agency setting.
  • Strong background in consumer brand PR with knowledge of corporate PR and crisis management.
  • Experience in managing a press office and handling press inquiries.
  • Ability to measure the ROI of communications activities.
  • Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns.
  • Excellent publicity skills and understanding of media requirements.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovative thinking in PR campaigns.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
