About the position

The Public Relations Analyst position at The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies involves promoting and creating a public image for government clients. This role is fast-paced, requiring the management of multiple small projects simultaneously, and can be performed via telework.

Responsibilities

• Promote or create an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations to support the Government.
• Write or recommend material for release to various communications media to support the Government.
• Provide social media expertise.
• Organize and schedule conferences and events.
• Provide corporate communications and public affairs support for the assigned Government organization.
• Support corporate communications, including public affairs and community relations for the assigned Government organization.
• Develop and recommend communications strategies for the assigned Government organization.
• Prepare, update, maintain, and implement communication plans proactively in accordance with standards and best practices.
• Prepare, update, maintain, and implement media relations plans as directed by the Government.
• Coordinate media relations with the designated PAO or designated Government Lead.
• Provide support for publications, electronic media, and public websites for the assigned Government organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years' experience (or Associate's Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience).
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and Outlook.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Publisher and web conferencing (e.g. Zoom and WebEx).
• Pre-production video skills.
