About the position

The Public Relations Analyst at Savvee Consulting will support federal clients by acting as a liaison between the government and various Health and Human Services (HHS) divisions. The role involves advising senior officials on communication strategies, drafting and editing various communication materials, and ensuring timely responses to media inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication and public relations, particularly within the federal government sector, and will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the government and various HHS operating divisions and component agencies.
• Advise senior officials on internal/external communication strategies and ensure they are updated on communications plans.
• Draft and edit proactive and responsive communications, including press releases and social media content.
• Oversee clearance of communication materials to ensure they meet deadlines and are approved as required.
• Monitor and triage media inquiries, consulting with press secretaries for accurate responses.
• Understand organizational policies and procedures for accuracy in deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer support.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Three or more years of professional experience
• One or more years of communication/public relations related experience
• Previous experience engaging stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office's suite of products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
