About the position

The Wisconsin Arts Board is seeking a Public Relations and Logistics Specialist to serve as the Communication Specialist. This role is responsible for developing and implementing public information and promotional communications programs, as well as providing logistical support for Arts Board grant programs and meetings. The position aims to communicate the good work of the Arts Board to policy makers, media, and the public, while collaborating with various stakeholders and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public information and promotional communications programs.
  • Provide communications and logistical support for Arts Board grant programs.
  • Manage webinars and organize board and panel meeting logistics.
  • Create program evaluation tools and training materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams regularly.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing communications materials such as videos, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Ability to create and present to small groups, workshops, and conferences.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining social media campaigns.
  • Knowledge of website maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Administrative support experience, including event planning and logistics.
  • Experience in developing program evaluation tools.
  • Collaboration experience with partner organizations and government agencies.
  • Experience preparing information for and presenting to a board of directors.
