About the position

The Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator at Victor Valley College is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating marketing and public relations initiatives to attract students and generate community support. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate the District's marketing and public relations programs.
• Identify marketing opportunities and develop promotional campaign budgets, themes, and schedules.
• Collect and disseminate information through various media channels including social media, radio, and print.
• Write news stories, feature articles, and reports highlighting college activities.
• Assist community representatives and media in obtaining information about District programs.
• Design and layout materials for publications and coordinate publication activities.
• Arrange news conferences, ceremonies, and meetings for District officials.
• Plan and publicize District and community events, taking photographs as needed.
• Attend administrative meetings to gather information and identify publicity goals.
• Research new trends in marketing and public relations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional experience in coordinating communications, marketing, or public outreach programs.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves
