About the position

As a Sanitation Lead at Ferrero, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within our North Canton facility. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to lead and guide a dynamic sanitation team, ensuring that all sanitation and housekeeping standards are upheld. You will work closely with the sanitation supervisor to oversee the sanitation processes, ensuring that all tasks are completed in compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Your responsibilities will include environmental cleaning, which encompasses trash collection and removal, facilities cleaning, and washroom cleaning activities. Additionally, you will provide equipment cleaning support on the production lines, ensuring that all areas meet the required safety and quality standards. In this role, you will direct and assist sanitation personnel in performing their duties, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Monitoring compliance with environmental regulations will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you will provide guidance during regulatory audits. You will also be involved in the sanitary design of equipment, facilities, and grounds, contributing to the overall cleanliness and safety of the work environment. Completing assigned jobs in various areas as directed by supervisors or managers will be part of your daily tasks, and you will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing training to enhance your knowledge and skills in sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and assist sanitation personnel in performing all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance of environmental regulations and provide guidance with compliance of regulatory audits.
  • Provide guidance of sanitary design of equipment, facility & grounds.
  • Complete all jobs in any area as assigned by supervisors/manager.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Understanding of basic arithmetic and reading level to understand instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods, and perform frequently repeated manual tasks.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills.
