About the position

The Public Relations + Events Specialist at Arhaus plays a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness and loyalty through effective public relations strategies, partnerships, events, and activations. This hybrid position is based at the Arhaus Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, and reports to the Associate Director of Public Relations + Experiential Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound press inquiries, fulfilling image and sample requests and credit sheets.
  • Facilitate ongoing dialogue with key media contacts across home and lifestyle publications to drive press coverage.
  • Maintain a current database of media contacts organized by medium, location, and news beat.
  • Research and identify relevant contacts for targeted outreach.
  • Draft core press materials needed to generate press coverage including press releases and creative pitches with manager oversight.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and creative teams to identify key seasonal products and stories.
  • Compile and organize product information and imagery to support PR agency and secure media features.
  • Monitor the news cycle daily to keep internal teams informed of industry, media, and competitor news and trends.
  • Maintain awareness of trends in the press and social media landscape to identify opportunities for pitches and partnerships.
  • Support in creative concepting and execution of consumer activations, brand events, press previews, and PR/influencer mailers.
  • Support event production needs including vendor management, collateral, briefing books, and staffing as a brand ambassador.
  • Drive awareness and engagement around Arhaus' showrooms and new store openings, including in-store events and local media outreach.
  • Manage administrative duties including maintaining the team calendar, invoice processing, logging expenses, and organizing inventory.
  • Track, monitor, and report incoming press coverage and support monthly internal reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in PR/Marketing/Journalism/Communications preferred.
  • 2-3 years of PR, marketing, communications, events, and/or marketing experience in a professional setting.
  • Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Strong writing skills with experience drafting formal media-facing and executive-ready documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, juggle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
