About the position
The Public Relations, Lifestyle Spring Intern position at Authentic Brands Group is designed for college students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the fields of Fashion, Marketing, and Public Relations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside industry experts, focusing on developing essential skills in communications and relationship management while supporting the PR team in representing a diverse portfolio of lifestyle brands.
Responsibilities
- Support the PR team in representing Authentic and the Lifestyle brand portfolio.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate trafficking of PR samples as needed between Authentic, brand partners, stylists, and media for editorial placement opportunities, style-outs, and gifting programs.
- Maintain sample closets.
- Track, compile, archive, and share press clips and recap reports inclusive of print, online, and broadcast on a project and monthly basis.
- Assist in seasonal celebrity and corporate seeding/gifting programs among all lifestyle brands.
- Create and maintain media lists that include top-tier fashion, lifestyle, sports, entertainment, and business outlets.
Requirements
- Undergraduate/graduate student
- Able to work up to 20 hours per week
- Able to work onsite in our NYC office
- Major in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or digital media
- Prior work or internship experience in the fashion industry (can include retail experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PPT, and Excel
- Analytical thinker who is self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Collaborative and able to thrive in a high-paced environment.
