About the position

Vibrant Emotional Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager to enhance media relations and public relations strategies, particularly focusing on the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The role involves building relationships with media, developing PR plans, and coordinating with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
• Pitch stories to media outlets to secure coverage for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
• Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with spokespersons.
• Develop and implement comprehensive PR plans to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Collaborate with AVP of Public Relations to align PR strategies with organizational goals.
• Work closely with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to support joint initiatives and campaigns.
• Draft press releases, pitches, official statements, and media responses.
• Prepare talking points, briefing documents, and other communication materials for executives and spokespersons.
• Plan and manage press events, media briefings, and public engagements.
• Assist in organizing conferences, webinars, and other PR-related events.
• Track media coverage and prepare reports to measure the impact of PR activities.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on media analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a focus on media relations.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Asana, Muck Rack, and Cision.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience tracking and reporting, and analyzing from the reports.
