Responsibilities

• Develop written content, including feature stories, news releases, and media advisories.
• Proactively identify and develop story ideas by building relationships with colleagues.
• Shoot, edit, and produce professional quality multimedia and video content.
• Capture high-quality photography of college events and special projects.
• Assist in the development of the annual communications strategic plan.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on project planning and execution.
• Leverage analytics to assess social media effectiveness and improve strategies.
• Serve as an on-air reporter for college events.
• Develop and execute new multimedia projects to promote the college.
• Assist social media team in creating organic video and audio content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Four years of experience in Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• An advanced degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Previous experience in higher education digital media, marketing, and/or communications.
