About the position

The Public Relations Project Coordinator will support the Tribal Public Relations team in executing various public relations projects and events. This role involves event planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring effective communication and coordination among departments and vendors. The coordinator will also handle administrative tasks and assist in the organization of supplies and equipment for events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with executing PR events, including event planning and setup, product pick-up and delivery, and various other event duties.
  • Coordinate equipment/inventory of supplies necessary for events and special projects.
  • Type, proofread, and process various documents, including general correspondence, reports, letters, memoranda, and invoices; prepare spreadsheets in Excel and forms from rough drafts or verbal instructions as assigned.
  • Prepare and disseminate project-related information to appropriate departments, vendors, and others in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
  • Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and documents.
  • Order, purchase and label supplies and equipment for the Department.
  • Perform administrative duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in events, communication, or marketing and/or a related discipline.
  • Intermediate ability to use MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to all levels of management, Tribal Membership, visitors, and employees in verbal/written form.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision and multiple interruptions.
