About the position
Celestar Corporation is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to support the CENTCOM Headquarters IDIQ for Professional Services. This role involves developing and synchronizing communication strategies and plans, providing subject matter expertise, and ensuring alignment of communication efforts across various commands and agencies. The position requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance and is based primarily at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, with potential travel to various government locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on the development and synchronization of communication strategies and plans.
- Offer subject matter expertise during the drafting of Key Leader Engagement (KLE) policies.
- Design KLE management tools and manage data within these tools, including KLE data and strategic messaging content.
- Support the development of communication initiatives or strategies, including themes, narratives, and key audience identification.
- Track key themes and messages from USG leaders to synchronize communication efforts with USG strategic messaging.
- Unify communications efforts between USCENTCOM, subordinate commands, Joint Staff, and the Interagency.
- Integrate communication plans, operations, and assessments across Public Affairs, Information Operations, and Key Leader Engagement disciplines.
- Coordinate with USCENTCOM directorates to align communication efforts in support of designated plans.
- Develop and deliver effective oral and written presentations to senior leaders on relevant topics.
- Update Annex Y: Commander's Communication Strategy for CONPLANs, OPLANs, and OPORDs.
- Coordinate FOIAs and MDRs according to legal standards, ensuring proper safeguarding of plans and orders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of planning experience in Public Affairs, Information Operations, Key Leader Engagements, or Civil Affairs.
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Strong communication skills.
