About the position

The Public Relations Specialist I is responsible for preparing, editing, and disseminating information to create and maintain a favorable public image for the Exchanges. This role focuses on increasing awareness of the Exchanges' mission through effective media channels, including social media. The position involves coordinating public relations events, drafting communications, and supporting the executive team in promoting goodwill and service awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and edits organizational publications for internal and external audiences utilizing media and other marketing channels.
• Coordinates appearances, drafts speeches, or other public relations events and activities for the executive team to increase product or service awareness or to promote goodwill.
• Drafts and edits several types of communication to associates from the Exchange executives.
• May assist with Exchange post articles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in public relations, communications, or journalism is required.
• Or a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in public relations, communications, or journalism is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, Journalism, Public Affairs, or Public Relations is preferred.
