About the position

The Public Relations Specialist II is responsible for planning and implementing communication programs for CHRISTUS Health, engaging with various stakeholders including associates, volunteers, physicians, patients, and the media. This role involves managing confidential corporate information and developing strategies to promote the organization's facilities and services effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in evaluating and developing marketing public relations strategies to promote CHRISTUS facilities and services.
  • Coordinates with Business Development and Outreach Department to develop messages and promotional opportunities for external and internal audiences.
  • Implements marketing strategies as directed by Senior Leadership and Director of Marketing.
  • Develops communication plan and calendar for CHRISTUS messages among coordinators/liaisons.
  • Creates communication plans to share program information among various audiences through newsletters, bulletins, and media.
  • Standardizes and produces public relations materials.
  • Ensures the CHRISTUS logo(s) and message are utilized according to standards.
  • Coordinates materials required for health fairs and community education.
  • Measures monthly publicity tracking.
  • Writes internal and external newsletter content as requested.
  • Collaborates with leadership, department Director, and advertising agency to implement the media relations plan.

Requirements
