About the position

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for enhancing the company's brand reputation and increasing public awareness of its services. This role involves developing PR campaigns, managing media relationships, and creating engaging content across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR campaigns to promote company initiatives, products, and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media placements.
  • Craft engaging content for press releases, blogs, social media, and other channels.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends, identifying opportunities and managing potential risks.
  • Plan and coordinate events, sponsorships, and community engagement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Track and analyze PR performance, providing regular reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of PR experience, preferably within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft compelling stories and messages.
  • Proficient with media monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Independent, with excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
  • Spanish-speaking candidates preferred.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $15.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
  • Full-time (40 hours/week) schedule.
