About the position

The Public Relations Specialist at Texas Roadhouse is responsible for executing communication strategies set by the Director of Communications & Retail and the Chief Communications Officer. This role focuses on collaborating with internal teams to enhance media responses and public relations tactics that support local store marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report daily on media mentions for each of our three brands.
• Respond to media and other inquiries working with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Partner with our outside freelancer on press releases, ensuring NSOs and local store marketing programs are being highlighted.
• Lead media training sessions in partnership with the Director of Communications & Retail and our Marketing Coaches.
• Support LSMs and Marketing Coaches with community segments with a focus on growth of these segments amongst our stores.
• Team up with the Digital Team on potential influencer partnerships and other brand collaborations, including posting content to our I Love My Job Facebook page and LinkedIn.
• Coordinate our responses to in-bound guest communications (e.g. invitations, compliments, school programs, etc.).
• Maintain the internal communications boards - designing and posting slides weekly.
• Ability to write and edit for needs such as: articles, radio scripts, web, etc. for Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers.
• Partner up on monitoring and reporting on analytics for internal communication platforms and media mentions.
• Maintain media kits, fact sheets and press rooms on our websites.
• Support the efforts of the overall Communications and Retail programs as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred.
• 2+ years working experience in corporate communications, marketing or public relations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Canva a plus.
• Proven ability to write and edit for business needs.
