About the position

The Public Relations Specialist at Codinix Technologies is responsible for community outreach and engagement, particularly focusing on COVID vaccine outreach. This role involves effective communication with diverse community members, sharing health resources, and guiding individuals to appropriate health services. The position requires a bilingual individual who can work collaboratively under the supervision of program managers and field supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as representatives of the Department for COVID vaccine outreach.
• Create awareness on health-related topics beyond COVID.
• Identify and help reduce cultural and structural barriers to vaccination.
• Engage community members during field assignments by sharing relevant resources.
• Communicate health resources to community members according to Department guidelines.
• Guide community members to local health services based on their county of residence.
• Ensure the use of up-to-date outreach materials during field assignments.
• Complete additional Community Health Worker training as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in community outreach, customer service, or health education.
• Effective communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Possession of a valid driver's license if vehicle operation is necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in writing skills (1 year preferred).

Benefits

• Contract position with hourly pay up to $35.25.
• Flexible working hours between 8am and 8pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
