About the position

The Public Relations Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is responsible for planning, writing, and disseminating news and information for organizational publications and external press releases. This role serves as a communications liaison, raising awareness of programs and initiatives to both internal and external audiences, while also assisting reporters and managing information requests.

Responsibilities

• Serve as communications liaison and raise awareness of programs and initiatives to internal and external audiences.
• Handle general information requests and assist reporters, photographers, and designers with interviews and publications.
• Identify, prepare, and place stories with local and national networks and publications.
• Contact sources within the organization and cover assigned departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
