About the position

The Public Relations Specialist at Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's public relations and communications efforts. This position focuses on writing, editing, and design work to effectively communicate the health system's mission and services to the community. The specialist will contribute to various publications and assist in community events, ensuring that LMHS's commitment to health and well-being is conveyed clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Designing and writing publications, articles, press releases, presentations, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, and direct mail pieces.
• Assisting at community events during evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in graphic design/visual communication with a concentration in communications and writing (preferred).
• Minimum of two years of writing and graphic design experience required.
• Excellent command of the English language, strong grammatical and editing skills, and oral communication skills.
• Competency with computer software, including word processing, publication design, and photography.
• Skills in Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop) are preferred.
• Previous health care experience preferred.
