About the position
The position involves supervising and managing the work assignments of all Security Ambassadors and Senior Security Ambassadors, providing support to their assigned facilities and posts. The role includes direct mentoring to Public Safety Leads, Visitor Management Ambassadors, and Public Safety Ambassadors. The individual will provide service, information, and aid to patients, guests, staff, and physicians of University Health, acting as a positive representative of the organization and supporting its Commitment to Service Excellence standards. Responsibilities also include responding to requests for assistance, patrolling property to ensure safety and security, complying with and enforcing policies and regulations, completing work schedules, and approving time off requests while promoting the Guest Relations Policy.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage work assignments of Security Ambassadors/Sr. Security Ambassadors.
- Provide direct mentoring to Public Safety Lead, Visitor Management Ambassador, and Public Safety Ambassador personnel.
- Provide service, information, and aid to patients, guests, staff, and physicians.
- Respond to requests for assistance and patrol property for safety and security.
- Comply with and enforce University Health and departmental policies and regulations.
- Complete work schedules for VMA/PSL/PSA and approve time off requests.
- Promote University Health's Guest Relations Policy.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Five years of experience in a related field such as security, detention, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Three years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
