About the position
The Public Safety Officer, Armed, is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the McDuffie Campus at Piedmont Healthcare during night shifts. This role involves responding to emergency incidents, safeguarding individuals and property, and effectively managing critical situations with sound judgment.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard students, employees, visitors, patients, and property.
- Act as the first responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
- De-escalate critical events and engage with combative or escalating subjects using sound judgment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Two years of experience in general security, military, or other public safety experience where carrying a firearm is required.
- Demonstrated responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
