About the position
The position involves a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities aimed at safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients, and property. The individual will act as the first responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility, ensuring the safe de-escalation of critical events and exercising sound judgment when engaging with combative or escalating subjects.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Two years of experience in general security, military, or other public safety experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license & adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) required within one year of hire.
- Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred.
- Ability to carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required.
