The Senior Civil Engineer for Public Works/Stormwater is responsible for managing and supporting the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects within the City of Hampton. This role emphasizes infrastructure management and ensures that projects align with the City's Stormwater Management Program. The position requires independent work under limited supervision, with responsibilities including supervising project team members and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support planning, design, and construction for the Department of Public Works.
• Supervise and direct project team members to ensure project schedules are met within budget.
• Ensure compliance with the City's Stormwater Management Program requirements.
• Report major activities through periodic meetings with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Three years of full-time equivalent experience in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia or ability to obtain licensure within one year of employment.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
