About the position

The Publisher Strategy Manager at TikTok will play a crucial role in the Content Strategy & Policy team, focusing on building consensus among executive leadership and driving strategic initiatives that enhance publisher engagement on the platform. This position requires a deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to navigate complex business challenges through data-driven insights and collaboration across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop coherent recommendations and frameworks for complex and ambiguous business challenges, backed by holistic and comprehensive insights
  • Understand and champion the needs of publishers within TikTok, and drive business decisions that bring value to all stakeholders
  • Liaise between Product, Data Science, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Business Development teams to gather insights and facilitate consensus for key decisions
  • Conduct market research to identify trends about the future of publisher businesses and engagement models with platforms
  • Build financial models and business cases to greenlight investment and partnership opportunities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in the media, entertainment, technology, consulting and/or banking industries; with a demonstrable track record of corporate and/or product strategy projects
  • Proven experience building consensus and alignment among executive leadership
  • Deep understanding of the relationships between large rights holders and digital content platforms, including content creation, marketing and monetization
  • Holistic strategy skillset, including quantitative and qualitative research, insight synthesis, financial modeling and business case development
