About the position

The Clinician II plays a vital role in the clinic by collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless healthcare experience for patients. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of care and safety while coordinating wellness and chronic illness activities for the clinic's patient population. The Clinician II is expected to demonstrate clinical leadership and critical thinking to achieve positive patient outcomes, with success measured through various performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide a smooth healthcare continuum.
  • Coordinate patient wellness and chronic illness activities for the clinic's patient population.
  • Ensure safety and high-quality standards of care are maintained across the continuum.
  • Act in a clinical leadership role to ensure positive outcomes in clinical care delivery.
  • Supervise daily activities of medical assistants and ensure timely orientation and competency completion for clinical support staff.
  • Provide feedback to the manager for annual performance evaluations of clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
  • Licensed by the State of New Mexico as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS Certification issued through American Heart Association required, or within 2 weeks of hire date.
  • Knowledge of good business English, spelling, and arithmetic practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrates effective teaching techniques and applies adult learning principles.
  • One year experience working as a nurse in a clinical setting preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • BSN preferred.
