About the position
Aya Healthcare is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist to provide essential services during a one-day workforce disruption in California, expected in early November. The role requires flexibility and includes travel and housing coverage for eligible candidates. The position involves conducting pulmonary function tests and ensuring continuity of patient care during this critical time.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pulmonary function tests including exhaled breath testing, lung volume assessments, and diffusion testing.
- Ensure continuity of patient care during the workforce disruption.
- Participate in a one-day orientation prior to the assignment.
Requirements
- BLS certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Experience with exhaled breath testing
- Proficiency in lung volume testing methods (Helium Dilution, Nitrogen Washout, Plethysmograph)
- Ability to perform arterial punctures and interpret ABG results
- Experience in a Pulmonary Function Test Lab setting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with respiratory therapy administration
- Familiarity with compliance and licensing processes in healthcare.
