About the position

The Pulmonary Medicine Program is seeking a dedicated physician to grow and enhance our services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The office is conveniently located adjacent to the hospital, allowing for seamless collaboration with hospital staff and easy access to patient care. The role primarily involves working as an inpatient consultant, as hospitalists will handle admissions and the ICU team will manage all respiratory emergencies. This structure allows the physician to focus on pulmonary medicine without the burden of managing critical care admissions directly. Our facility boasts three full Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) labs and a state-of-the-art bronchoscopy suite equipped with Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Robotic Navigation technology. This advanced equipment supports a high standard of care and provides opportunities for local and regional program development, particularly in conjunction with sleep medicine. The position also offers limited moonlighting opportunities in critical care, providing flexibility for additional income. Joining our practice means becoming part of a collegial team of physicians, including a dedicated thoracic surgeon partner and a robust multidisciplinary nodule program. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high quality of life for our staff, with a favorable work and call schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Winchester Medical Center serves as a regional referral center for an 18-county market, supported by a network of over 250 physicians, ensuring a steady flow of patients and a strong referral base.
