About the position

The Purchase Clearing Manager is responsible for directing the work of team employees to ensure that all suspended loan files meet investor requirements for purchase within specified timeframes. This role involves overseeing daily functions, maintaining production metrics, streamlining processes, and ensuring team members remain focused on their tasks.

Responsibilities

• Delegates and communicates tasks efficiently to Team Lead and/or Sr. Coordinator to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Creates and maintains reporting for teams to proactively spot trends and forecast investor volumes for proper coordinator alignment.
• Performs quality audits to ensure Purchase Clearing Coordinators follow correct procedures and escalation processes; provides training to address any opportunities for improvement.
• Reviews and updates department policies and procedures to ensure quality and increase efficiency.
• Redefines department policies and procedures to meet changes in investor or regulatory requirements.
• Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates employee performance, and manages promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
• Develops and grows employees through one-on-one engagements and creating 30/60/90 day plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mortgage-related experience, preferably in post-closing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of supporting mortgage loan documents for government insuring.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of reporting, data pulling, organizing, and utilizing reports to forecast volume and spot trends.
