Responsibilities

• Work with vendors, estimating, planning, scheduling, sales, and manufacturing to facilitate purchasing.
• Ensure accurate job specifications and information are provided to all involved parties.
• Monitor and facilitate paper purchases and buyout components to ensure quality products are delivered on time.
• Handle purchasing functions for office supplies, consumables, and other items as needed.
• Attend relevant meetings such as production, team, and quality improvement meetings.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new and existing vendors.
• Communicate job requirements, specifications, schedules, and expectations with vendors and internal personnel.
• Read and analyze job estimates, purchase orders, and job tickets.
• Write purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Manage raw goods inventory in the ERP system.
• Correct discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
• Coordinate job schedules with affected departments.
• Manage critical deadlines with resourcefulness and professionalism.
• Conduct offsite press checks, bindery checks, and quality inspections as needed.
• Review quality, product inspection, and samples to maintain standards.

Requirements

• Must have Purchasing or Production Planning or Estimating experience in the Printing industry.
• College Degree preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Commercial Printing Bindery operations.
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
• Minimum of 4 years in the printing industry.
