About the position

The Purchasing Agent / Estimator / ERP Systems Manager at McKelvey Homes is responsible for managing the Purchasing and Estimating department. This role involves bid management, procurement of trade partners, producing and maintaining unitized takeoffs, and managing the builders' ERP system. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure effective purchasing, estimating, and ERP functions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints and conduct/maintain accurate unitized takeoffs
  • Manage bidding process of assigned cost codes with trades
  • Effectively negotiate costs for management review
  • Maintain current and accurate construction budgets in ERP / MarkSystems
  • Create options and sales pricing in ERP / MarkSystems
  • Provide custom option pricing for assigned Sales team members
  • Assist in value engineering of current and new home plans
  • Provide ERP / MarkSystem support for Production and Sales Team
  • Train both internal staff and trade partners on ITK, the builder portal in ERP / MarkSystems
  • Manage all reporting for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual rebate programs

Requirements

  • 5 years of residential construction experience
  • Builder ERP / PO system experience required, MarkSystems preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Construction Management or related degree preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of procurement experience preferred
