About the position

The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records and managing information within the inventory management system and the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position is essential for assisting with service scheduling and supporting the inventory process. The coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing department to support all requests and provide necessary administrative support services, ensuring the department operates smoothly and efficiently. The role requires a strong focus on organization and communication, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The coordinator will be expected to adhere to scheduled work and deadlines, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system and CMMS.
  • Assist with service scheduling and support the inventory process.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to support requests.
  • Provide administrative support services to ensure departmental functionality.
  • Handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or five years' experience in work-order coordination, contract administration, or equivalent.
  • Computer experience with a thorough understanding of common systems such as word processing and email.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience adhering to scheduled work and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree and two years' experience in work-order coordination, contract administration, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and be attentive to detail.
  • Knowledge of Google programs (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Understanding of CMMS platforms and Inventory Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission regulatory process.
  • Prior experience in work order coordination and management in a manufacturing, engineering, or supplier firm environment.
