About the position

The Purchasing and Logistics Assistant at Afula Enterprises is a vital role focused on managing inventory, coordinating shipping logistics, and supporting purchasing operations within an eCommerce environment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced setting, ensuring the accuracy of inventory systems and facilitating effective communication with vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of inventory systems weekly to identify products that need to be ordered and prepare inventory reports.
• Draft and submit purchase orders for approval and monitor their status to ensure timely delivery.
• Create and manage shipping containers with Allways Forwarding, optimizing arrangements based on product readiness for shipments to Amazon and other marketplaces.
• Utilize replenishment systems to decide on products to send to Amazon and manage daily reports on out-of-stock items.
• Communicate with vendors regarding order discrepancies and follow up on incoming shipments to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to 7501 Customs forms in collaboration with the Virtual Assistant (VA).
• Calculate and determine reorder quantities for food SKUs, placing orders as necessary.
• Compile and send a monthly overage stock report to the sales team for inventory planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain roles, preferably in eCommerce or retail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of international trade and logistics, particularly with suppliers from China, India, and Vietnam.
