About the position

The Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the company's procurement processes, including sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing. This role also involves logistics management for inbound and outbound freight, both locally and overseas, while utilizing MRP systems and SAP for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for the best terms
• Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery
• Utilize MRP systems and SAP for efficient inventory management
• Run reports to identify future business sales needs
• Monitor market trends to secure the best pricing and terms, while inactivating skus
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems
• Excellent negotiation skills and contract management abilities
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
• Proficiency in logistics and understanding of shipping processes
