About the position

The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist at HexArmor is responsible for analyzing logistics trends and managing purchasing processes to ensure timely replenishment of production lines. This role involves working closely with various teams, including Planning, Warehouse, and Production, to optimize logistics and purchasing operations. The specialist will utilize systems like SAP Business One and Excel to process shipments, create production orders, and conduct financial reviews, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Daily operating within SAP Business One for shipment processing and production order creation
• Reporting and presenting excel spreadsheet work for purchasing/financial reviews
• Performing Vlookups, Index Matching, and Pivot tables
• Generating IF statements/formulas and reformatting exports for existing spreadsheets
• Collaborating with Planners and Production management teams to schedule on-time deliveries and expedite when necessary
• Developing an understanding of HexArmor products and product lifecycle for effective communication with logistics providers
• Conducting continuous analysis for improving department processes and procedures
• Creating and executing transportation and logistics services related RFPs
• Quoting multiple freight forwarders to maximize freight value
• Assisting with any necessary reporting or Supply Chain related tasks as they occur
• Developing network models, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements to logistics activities
• Serving as the internal point of contact for any indirect purchasing

Requirements

• BS degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in Logistics, Purchasing, or Supply Chain
• Proven Excel experience in generating and editing multiple interconnected spreadsheets
• Solid decision making and problem-solving skills
• Critical attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated and positive attitude
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment by setting priorities and handling multiple simultaneous requirements
