About the position

The Purchasing and Pricing Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring efficient procurement processes and accurate pricing strategies within the organization. This position involves reviewing daily purchasing reports for multiple locations, handling purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, analyzing pricing trends, and maintaining pricing databases. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily purchasing reports produced through the ERP.
  • Generate and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with various warehouses to determine their purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Team and Management on potential upcoming large warehouse projects.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
  • Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to determine competitive pricing strategies.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends to identify opportunities for price optimization.
  • Collaborate with sales and management teams to develop pricing strategies that align with the business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate pricing databases and ensure all pricing information is up to date.
  • Regularly review and update pricing matrix based on cost changes, market dynamics, and profitability goals.
  • Conduct audits to ensure pricing consistency across different markets.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, pricing trends, and cost analysis.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis and market research.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for purchasing and pricing administration to optimize workflow and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
  • Experience with contract management and supplier relationship management is a plus.
  • Experience in purchasing, pricing, and/or procurement role is a plus.
