About The Position
Performs a variety of duties associated with the purchasing of goods and services in accordance with established Laboratory procurement policies and procedures. What distinguishes the incumbent from level I to level III is the level of supervision required, independent judgement used, complexity of duties, proficiency in problem solving, impact of errors, wider range of experience and specialized knowledge. Level I is entry level for gaining the required skills and experience to advance through the Purchasing Assistant's career ladder. Level III may be expected to train others.
