About the position

The Purchasing Assistant will support the purchasing department by managing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. The position involves administering purchase/service contracts, preparing proposals, and analyzing costs while ensuring compliance with company policies and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with company policies.
• Administer departmental purchase/service contracts and prepare proposals.
• Analyze estimates of material, equipment, and production costs.
• Review contractual documents for adherence to specifications and agreements.
• Negotiate and administer licensing agreements, including renewals and invoicing.
• Verify order details, including pricing, to ensure conformance with policies.
• Liaise with technical, finance, or legal teams as needed.

Requirements

• Procurement experience in Biomedical Equipment Purchasing.
• Proficiency in ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
• Hospital experience and proficiency in Excel and SharePoint.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant fields or comparable experience.
• Two years of experience as a Biomedical buyer in a healthcare facility.
• Strong interpersonal skills for developing relationships with personnel and vendors.
• Ability to calculate discounts and prepare cost savings reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong experience in Biomedical Equipment Purchasing and sourcing.
• ERP knowledge, particularly Oracle Cloud.
