About the position

The Purchasing Buyer role is designed for experienced procurement professionals who will manage the purchasing process from initiation to completion. This position involves coordinating with vendors, maintaining documentation, and supporting internal teams to enhance supply chain efficiency. The Buyer will negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with company policies, all within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and procurement forms for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and verify bills against bids and purchase orders.
• Maintain organized records, including purchase orders, quotes, receipts, and reports for the finance department.
• Analyze vendor quotes and service agreements to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage contracts to control expenses.
• Work closely with engineering, planning, sales, and management teams to forecast needs, expedite deliveries, and reduce material variability.
• Monitor, evaluate, and track supplier performance to maintain quality and timely deliveries.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and deadlines, resolving non-conformance issues with suppliers.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience managing the full purchasing cycle, including vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and contract management.
• Strong attention to detail when processing invoices and maintaining documentation.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong ability to evaluate vendor services and negotiate favorable terms.
