About the position

The Purchasing Group Leader at IFA Rotorion is responsible for directing the overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory management of raw materials, vendor selection, and distribution of finished goods. This role involves evaluating past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling, as well as developing strategic plans to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to all supply chain employees including logistics and purchasing personnel.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
  • Act as a liaison between plant and corporate office regarding supply chain activities.
  • Define value stream and work to improve flow for better cycle times, lower inventory, and improved quality.
  • Work closely with customers to meet their JIT/JIS requirements.
  • Review and approve master schedules.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with suppliers and outside providers.
  • Maintain departmental quality standards per IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Create and implement purchasing and inventory accuracy standards and practices.
  • Develop and drive cost savings programs towards set goals.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kanban, and visual management.
  • Prepare departmental budgets and spending forecasts.
  • Develop processes, flow, and layouts with cross-functional groups.
  • Establish yearly targets and KPIs for the department and maintain reporting structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing of raw materials.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics operations.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience working with SAP/ERP systems and respective logistics and purchasing modules.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • 10 years of experience in a leading Supply Chain Management function.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience as a Tier 1 supplier.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $90.4K - $115K per year.
  • Full-time position with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
